RigMettle (“RigMettle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the RigMettle mobile application, website, engineering validation tools, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, shared, retained, and deleted when you use RigMettle.
RigMettle is designed as a local-first engineering validation and evidence-capture application. Depending on the test being performed and the permissions you grant, the app may access or process:
• Device manufacturer, model, operating-system version, application version, and device capabilities.
• Connected wearable or peripheral information, including device identifiers, hardware or firmware information, connection status, and supported capabilities.
• Sensor measurements and related metadata, including timestamps, units, sample values, test conditions, and session events.
• Engineering test definitions, test results, status information, failure details, user acknowledgments, and generated evidence records.
• Files that you intentionally select, import, create, or export.
• Hardware features and permissions required for an initiated test, which may include device sensors, Bluetooth or nearby-device access, notifications, storage or file-selection access, and audio or camera-related capabilities when supported by a specific test.
RigMettle does not use this information for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Core testing, measurement, diagnostics, reporting, and evidence-generation functions are performed locally on the user’s device. Test results, settings, device information, measurements, and evidence records may be stored in the app’s private local storage.
RigMettle does not automatically upload locally generated engineering evidence to RigMettle-operated servers. The current application does not require a RigMettle user account.
RigMettle allows users to create and export engineering evidence packages and reports. An export occurs only when the user initiates the export and selects a destination or receiving application.
After information is exported, copied, emailed, uploaded, or shared to another application, device, cloud-storage provider, employer, customer, or other third party, that information is governed by the recipient’s policies and security practices. RigMettle does not control copies stored outside the app.
Users should review exported evidence before sharing it because engineering records may contain device identifiers, measurements, timestamps, test results, and other technical information.
When you visit rigmettle.com, our website hosting provider may process basic technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, page visits, approximate location, server logs, and cookie or performance information.
If you submit a contact or support request, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organization, message, and technical support details.
Website information is used to operate and secure the site, respond to inquiries, understand site performance, and improve RigMettle’s services. Cookie and tracking preferences may be controlled through the website’s cookie notice where available.
Information processed through RigMettle may be used to:
• Connect to and identify authorized devices.
• Perform user-requested engineering tests and measurements.
• Display live or recorded telemetry.
• Generate test results, reports, and evidence packages.
• Diagnose connection, compatibility, hardware, firmware, or software issues.
• Maintain application reliability and security.

RigMettle does not sell personal information.
Information may be disclosed only:
• When a user intentionally exports or shares information.
• To service providers that support our website or communications, such as our website-hosting provider.
• When required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
• When reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security issues, misuse, or threats to safety.
• As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of RigMettle assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, connected-device providers, and applications selected by the user may process information independently under their own privacy policies.
RigMettle uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These may include Android application sandboxing, private application storage, permission controls, user-initiated sharing, and temporary access permissions for exported files.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their devices, exported evidence, account credentials, and selected sharing destinations.
Locally stored application data remains on the device until it is deleted through the app, cleared through Android application settings, or removed by uninstalling the app, subject to device backup behavior.
Exported files remain wherever the user saved or shared them and must be deleted from those locations separately.
Information submitted through a website contact or support request may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of information submitted directly to RigMettle by using the contact method below.
Because the current app does not require a RigMettle account or automatically upload engineering evidence to RigMettle servers, there is generally no server-side app account or cloud evidence record for RigMettle to delete.
You may:
• Decline optional permissions, although related features may not function.
• Stop a test or disconnect a device.
• Delete locally stored app data.
• Uninstall the application.
• Choose whether, where, and with whom evidence is exported.
• Manage website cookie preferences where available.
• Contact RigMettle regarding access, correction, or deletion of information submitted directly to us.
RigMettle is an engineering and validation tool intended for professional and technical users. It is not directed to children under 13, and RigMettle does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy as RigMettle’s features, data practices, or legal obligations change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
